Vignettes- Lanes and Canals

Lane glimpses.

Cath had told me that she loved how in Venice, every view is a little picture. It's true and the place is truly beautiful. There's something about the ancient canals, the stone and iron and the water, the serenity co-existing with a kind of easy paced bustling which makes this place unique. I am so glad we came here, and am really glad that William and Viv were able to pop it into their schedule.

Here are some little postcard-like views snapped over the 4 days we were in Venice

After a downpour.. looking out our apartment window
Past days of glory.

The bridge of sighs.. condemned prisoners sighed as they walked
over this bridge from the prison on the right to their place of execution.
They had their last view of Venice from this bridge

Life on the water
